Today, we meet with Angélica and Samuel, founders of the travel blog My trip to Colombia.
With passion and commitment, they tell us about the creation of their project and their vision of Colombia. A country of extraordinary natural and cultural riches. A Colombia of possibilities.
Angélica and Samuel, love that travels
Angélica, a bubbly Colombian, left her country at the age of 18 to settle in France. There she built a career, and in 2013 she met Samuel, a slightly geeky musician who had just returned from a trip to Colombia.
Their shared passions for travel, multiculturalism and photography led them to take their first trip together to Colombia in 2015. Faced with a lack of information, the idea of creating a travel blog that would promote Colombia was born for the Franco-Colombian couple with the idea of helping people to organise their trip to Colombia and show the best side of the country.
“My trip to Colombia”, an ambitious project
The travel blog mytriptocolombia.com is aimed at all types of travelers who want to visit Colombia.
“At the origin of this travel blog, the two of us wanted to develop a professional and personal project that would enable us to build a strong link with Colombia, Angélica’s country, we also wanted to participate in changing the country’s image, and we wanted to promote responsible tourism initiatives, a tourism that brings benefits to local communities and respects the environment.
Over the years, we have also come to realize the major role that tourism can play in changing paradigms in territories affected by armed conflict.”
Among other things, Angélica and Samuel offer itineraries, tips, recommendations and ideas for activities based on their own discoveries and experiences. Their blog is a rich and reliable source of information on the whole of Colombia..
“My trip to Colobmia” is not just another travel blog.
“It’s a different way of traveling in Colombia. By taking the time to love, respect and understand this country, its territories, its people and its exceptional natural environment.”
Angélica and Samuel travel the length and breadth of Colombia. They discover, source, test and create strong links with community-based and responsible tourism projects, which they then share with their readers.
They are driven by a desire to bring a different perspective to the country, and to help visitors discover little-known areas untouched by mass tourism.
Long live the “My trip to Colombia” travel blog!
